Our Staff

Christine has worked in the eye care field for over 25 years. She is a third generation optician. Her father, Bob Ham, currently has a practice in Jacksonville, Florida, where Christine was born and raised. Christine moved to Americus in 1990, and she and Dr. Hart were married in 1992. They began their practice together soon afterward. Christine is an honorary member of the Junior Service League of Americus, where she worked primarily with the Methodist Girls Home. Christine and Dr. Hart have one daughter, Haley, who currently attends Southland Academy.  Christine enjoys being outdoors, whether in her garden or at the beach. She also spends a lot of her time supporting Haley in her many sporting events.  

Sherry, our office manager and frame stylist, has worked at Hart Eye Care for 7 years. An Americus native, Sherry attended Sumter County High School and graduated in 1996. Sherry is married to Rick and has three children, Brittany, Clay, and Hollie, all of which attend Schley County.  While Sherry isn’t working, she likes being outdoors with her horses and spending time with her children and her husband. 

Our receptionist, Kassie, was born in Douglas, Georgia. She graduated from Americus High School in 2006.  Kassie and her husband, Johnny, reside in Americus with their two children, Tatyen and Ava Rose. Kassie enjoys reading, vacationing in the mountains, grilling out with her family, and spending time with her children.  

Niki, our optometric assistant, was born in Wilmington, Ohio and moved to Ellaville, Georgia nearly 30 years ago. She graduated from Tri County High School in 1998. Niki has been a part of the Hart Eye Care team for over a year. She is married to Cecil and has two children, Zoe and Cole, who attend Schley County Elementary. In her spare time, Niki enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  

Ivy, our media specialist, graduated with honors from Southland Academy in 2009 and is currently attending Georgia Southwestern State University majoring in Exercise Science. Upon graduating, she hopes to obtain a Masters in the Art of Teaching degree with a concentration in Middle School Math. Ivy, and her husband, Brantley, were married in May of this year and now lives in Plains.
