Reason of Discourage Purchasing Online Glasses

Eyeglass prescriptions are handed out to our patients at the end of each eye exam. If you should need to get another copy, go to Patient Forms & Links on our website tab to retrieve your prescription.

When purchasing eyewear your Optician or Frame Stylist will measure you for several things depending on your prescription, frame, and lenses you choose to purchase.

  • P.D. Pupillary Distance
  • Fitting Height for Progressive
  • Optical Center for Single Vision
  • Pantoscopic Tilt
  • Wrap
  • Base Curve

Incorrect measurements or ones not taken can cause a number of things:

  • Blurred Vision
  • Double Vision
  • Muscle Imbalance

Most measurements cannot be taken until the patient has picked out the frame he or she chooses.

We recommend that you choose an optical that has a Licensed Optician.

If you want us to check to see if the prescription & measurements are correct, we will be happy to do so for a fee of $50.00 per pair.

Note: We are not responsible for incorrect measurements taken by another Optical.
